do you have a 30 day warranty when buying a used vehicle from car lot in canada?

I bought a used vehicle from a car lot and 2 days later the emissions control light was on and i've been back and forth to that place and now they told me to drop by and we'll work something out,,,i just would like to know where i stand

when you buy a used car it is an "as is" sale unless you have a written warrenty, or proof that at the time of sale they knew of the problem and failed to disclose it "fraud" but the fact you drove it two days before it came on shows the problem didn't exist at the time of sale, if they do anything for you, it's not because they have to.

i find Krux to be the best trucks that i have skated so far. they grind so smooth and the designs on them are pretty sweet. the kingpins are low so you dont have to worry about hitting them for many grinds to come.

Can I use a 12 volt converter box in a car?

I have a mini van and would like to start using digital to analog converter so that we get over the air tv in our car, for the kids on long trips. Many of the converter boxes are rated 12v. I have some extra adapters (actually old cell phone chargers) that I can strip and splice onto the tv power input.

I was wondering if anyone has done this already? Will it work? What are some issues that may arise?
The converter box is 12 volts DC, and of course the car's electrical system is 12 volts DC. I was just wondering if there are surges that may damage the equiptment?

In a car, the voltage goes higher than 12volts when the car is running, almost up to 14 usually. Find out what the voltage range is on the converter. Look for something on your converter's power plug like -- 10v-15v. That's all going to be in DC, so if everything is in the correct range, then you're set!

that car will never be worth much their is nothing unique about it and the mileage is not that low. For what it would cost you to keep it properly stored for the next 20 yrs it wouldn't be worth it. I am a car collector and that isn't a car a collector would want maybe a investor if it had documented extremely low miles 20,000 or less.

What car company has a good reputation for having parts for old autos made by them?

I heard it's good to have a car from a good car company that after time will still have parts for your old car. Does anyone know which car company is the best in this standard? I think local mechanics would know best. I plan on getting a car and stick with it for a long time.

any american car has parts for at least 10 yrs. and then if the car is popular the aftermarket builds parts for it, you can build a complete19 66 or 67 chevy chevelle from the ground up if you have the frame as the aftermarket makes all the parts you need.

While the new car smell is certainly an appeal, the question remains whether it is a worthwhile investment? Add the high cost of new cars to the levels of depreciation and buying new can be considered somewhat foolish. Naturally before you buy an approved used car it is advisable to take it out for a test drive. This will let you get a feel for the car, the way it performs and handles. In addition it should also give an idea of any potential problems, although being approved any such issues should be minimal. Remember however not to be sucked into the feel of a car after a test drive, remaining logical in your approach is the best course of action to follow.

Do You Kow the Golden Rule of Buying a Used Car?

It is a simple fact that most potential used car buyers become used car owners because they were unwilling or unable to say 'no'. The main focus of a car salesman is to get you to 'fall in love' with the vehicle and get a written commitment making you believe you must buy the vehicle. Here are a few guidelines to remember the next time you go shopping for a used car:

1.Don't 'fall in love', no matter what. There will always be another vehicle you like just as much somewhere else; even if it is the rarest of the rare, don't get attached. Do I Need Spare Gas Tanks?

One should always have spare gas tanks for situations when the fuel-tank stops working due to certain reasons. It becomes all the more important for women driver while travelling during night. However, replacing an old fuel container with a new one is not an easy task. The fuel-tanks are quite heavy which is why it can be a daunting task and difficult handling.

The entire process actually includes two steps, removing old container and installing new tank. In order to remove the old gasoline tank, firstly, one would be required to drain it. The drain-plug is always situated on bottom side of the container. One can even make use of pliers to untie the drain-plug. Now, jack the vehicle up to given extra space to work, and locate the 2 straps holding tank which would essentially run the entire length of car. Next, undo the 4 bolts on end parts of straps with ratchet, but do not take out bolts until the container is supported after which the jack can be placed under the fuel container. This is primarily done to support the container as one removes straps. Now, remove 4 bolts, then fuel inlet hosepipe, and take off assembly situated at topside of the tank.

One would be required to place a fresh O-ring for the new fuel tank. After placing new O-ring on threads, put the assembly together on the top of the fuel container. Put spare gas tank on jack so that one can get support while attaching hoses and wires. Fit in the 'inlet hose' at the back of the container and snap the wires and fuel lines back to the points they were earlier detached from. Make sure that the straps are providing an adequate support to the tank. Ensure the bolts are within an easy reach for the purpose of unrestricted movements. Lastly, pour at least 3 gallons of gasoline to make sure that the fuel-pump picks the gas.
