Masters Degree Online Courses – Types of Online Master’s Degree Programs

Nowadays, online master degree programs are very well seen by everybody thanks to their flexibility for adults with full time jobs.

If you decide to earn an online master degree you can choose from a wide range of courses comprising: Business Courses, Career and Vocational Training, Degree and Certificate Programs, language courses, Computer, IT and Web Training, MBA Programs, etc.

A master degree is a safe way for you to be promoted and to start making more money. The benefits that come along with this degree are very attractive and all this combined with your employer’s attention offer you the best reason to register for the program.

Before getting started you should know that earning a master degree is not that easy as you may think. We’re talking about a higher level of education that’s much harder than earning an undergraduate degree.

The courses are focused on more precise subjects and in order to pass the tests you’ll have to study very hard and to prove your commitment.

All over the Internet you can find online Master's Degree School programs. This means that you can complete the educational program without quitting your full time job.

The entire Master’s Degree program will last for a few months but the curriculum are very well structured. Before deciding to enrol in any online program you should take into consideration the next 4 master’s degrees:

- Master’s Education – if you’re a teacher and you want to advance your skills and start making more money then this degree is the right one for you. Most probably you will need it if you’re planning to become an administrator of an educational unit.

- Master’s in e-Commerce – this is a brand new degree chosen by many students that want to succeed in the virtual business world. This degree will help you find a job in a company or organization that needs or already has online activities.

- Master of Business Administration (MBA) – this is the perfect degree for any busy businessman that wants a higher status in its line of work. During the courses the students will learn everything about making the right business decisions when it comes to management, marketing and finance.

Even if most programs will ask you the prove of completing prerequisite coursework in business, other schools will help you earn your degree in only two years or even less.

- Master’s in Information Technology – this is the perfect specialization for people having a degree in math, computer science or other related field. The courses will teach you about software, data systems, project management, systems engineering, etc. If you have a professional background in the information technology you can qualify for an accelerated program.

It is very important for you to verify program and the school before enrolling. Also, you might want to check out a few prices and compare them in order to find the best offer for an online master degree program.

Write all the masters degree online programs on a piece of paper and compare their offers and prices. Check out their curriculum because for a few dollars more you can get a better or a worse package. Also you should take into consideration your career goals and the expectations of your future employers when it comes to master’s programs.

Your previous degree plays an important role in this game because you will have to see if your future master degree online program will recognize it.

In addition to all that you must check if the online university that you’ve chosen is accredited. Many of them are not eligible and following their courses would be like throwing your money on the window.

Schuco Tin Toys

The internationally well known and loved German Company, Schuco, can be traced as far back as 1887, infact right back to the birth of one, Heinrich Muller.  As a teenager, Muller began making his own toys and pretty soon started working for another famous German toy company, Bing.  However, in 1912, Muller left the Bing Company and, together with Heinrich Schreyer (a local merchant), formed their own company, Schreyer & Co.  In 1921, this company became known as the now famous Schuco Company.

Schuco began by making small felt and plush figures and animals, but like all other German toy companies, like Steiff for example, the outbreak of the Fist World War halted their business.

However, once back in business, Schuco introduced it's Schuco-Patent-Motor-Car.  The great success of this product quickly gave way to Schuco producing a wonderful range of tinplate vehicles.  The Patent Car is powered by clockwork, but what really makes this tinplate car so very desirable is the fact that it "turns back from the edge", or,  in other words, the car will never fall from a table or play surface as, when it reaches the edge, it simply will not fall off - Amazing Isn't It !!  This incredible model, which we must not forget was made in the mid 1930's.  This idea was, as you can imagine greatly copied by many other toy companies, despite the fact that this model was 'patented'.

Once again, the outbreak of the Second World War stopped toy production at Schuco.  As early as 1946, the Schuco toy company had started to become a legend in the toy world and was talked about all over Europe and on both sides of the Atlantic.  Just like so many other German toy companies, such as Steiff, the toys produced in Germany had a quality which really were second to none and it was this great quality that was greatly impressing the American market.  Muller was personally responsible for all Schuco designs and he was also responsible for quality.  It is rumoured that Muller would throw each new model on the floor, to test it's resilience when the model was put into the hands of a child.

Tin Toys boomed in the late 1940's - 1950's, but then sadly, sales started to decline in the mid 1960's.  Tin toys started to be deemed as 'unsafe' for children, due to their sharp edges, but also a further contributory factor to the tin toy decline was the introduction of plastics to the toy world, which were both safer and more affordable.  Sadly then, Schuco went out of business in 1976.

In 1980, Gama (Georg Adam Mangold) who ironically was once a rival to the Shuco company, obtained the Schuco brand name and began creating reproductions of the old Schuco models.  In 1999, Schuco was sold to the Simba-Dickie Group (one of the largest toy companies in Europe).  Today Schuco's main aim is to re-establish the same quality as Schuco's past models.  They also tend to make reproductions of the tin toys that Schuco made iconic in the past.

Many grown-up's collect the old Schuco tin toys today, as they are small and extremely worthy works of art.  They certainly look amazing either shown as a collection, or as a single display item.  A Schuco tin toy model will almost certainly provoke a reaction from your friends, regardless of their age.

The condition of a Schuco tin model is, like so many other collectables, very important in terms of it's financial value, unused and also boxed items of course, being the ultimate.  However, sometimes a small amount of playwear, the odd dent or chip, adds a great amount of age history and character to a model.  Just like the old teddy bear that is age-worn, you wonder about the toy's history and this can sometimes add to the toy's desirability, depending of course on the collector.

There is always the option of having the model 'restored'.  Restoration such as having a repaint to body work will, almost always de-value an old model but then, on the plus-side some things are acceptable such as replacing a broken windscreen or repairing a clockwork spring, which leads us on to the Schuco Keys.  Owning an original Schuco tin toy, together with it's original key is always very desirable and, once again, adds to the model's value.  It really is down to the collector alone to decide whether or not he wants to collect just 'mint' models or whether he wants to collect 'used', perhaps like so many collectors he would prefer to seek a compromise.

Many toy companies around the world has indeed made really good tin toys and today's standards are very high, but setting aside modern replica tin toys, we find it highly unlikely that today's toys would even come close to the old Schuco models.

How many old and battered tinplate cars, for example, would still run?  After sixty years an old Schuco model will still run, infact it is very hard to find an old Schuco model that will not run.  Simply Amazing !!

Schuco tin toys is worthy of collectors.  They always have been and certainly always will be.

Electronic Model Railroad Scenery: Make Your Railroad Complete

Anybody that has a model railroad will know just how exciting it can be to actually maintain it and use it. However, without one thing, the railroad would not be half as much fun! The scenery that is placed around the train tracks is often quite simply breathtaking, especially if it is highly detailed and very lifelike. Of course then you have your electronic model railroad scenery, which just takes it to the next level.

Electronic model railroad scenery is extremely popular with the railroad modelling fanatics. Of course, the trains and the tracks are both electronic but the electronic model railroad scenery simply blows the trains out of the water! There are model figures, tunnels and buildings for individuals to use at their own discretion to enhance the trains and tracks immensely as well as give you the feeling that you really are there with them! Obviously, all of the electronic model railroad scenery is scaled down to size, although they are made to represent all full sized features accurately. This is a practice well honed by architects, movie directors and other similar individuals that want to create an accurate representation of what their eventual structures would look like.

Model railroading became popular in the 1960s, but back then it was literally just the trains and tracks. Electronic model railroad scenery was not as popular then and would rarely be found on an enthusiast's track! However, as it was gradually introduced later, it caught the imagination of children and adults alike because it made the tracks look more realistic and sent their imaginations running wild! It is till extremely popular now, all these years on, as a result of the electronic model railroad scenery. As a result of technological innovations, it just keeps getting better and better.

Electronic model railroad scenery can be bought for all shapes and sizes of track, from the minute to the quite realistic and an eight life sizes ones that you find in major toy stores. The latter is the biggest you can possibly get and is commonly called the G scale amongst enthusiasts. No matter what size your particular model railroad, I guarantee that there is electronic model railroad scenery out there for you! It can work out expensive though if you buy it all at once and fail to effectively shop around first!. For more info see http://www.modelrailroadshelp.com on Model Rail Road.

Electronic model railroad scenery has captured the hearts and minds of many individuals over the years and will continue to do so well into the future. The models are simply gorgeous, whatever scale you have them on. You can let your imagination run riot and really experience the railroad, which is what it is all about!

Where Did the Honda Engine Originate?

The Honda Company has a history of producing quality cars, motorcycles, scooters, trucks, robots, jets and jet engines, ATVs, water craft, and many other important technologies. One interesting historical feature of the Honda Company is the origination of the Honda engine. Honda is the largest engine manufacturer in the world, with more than 14 million internal combustion engines built each year.

After World War II, Soichiro Honda formed the Honda Research Institute Company Ltd in Japan. In 1947, Honda built the A-type engine, a 1-horsepower 50cc two-stroke that fastened to bicycles. Honda staff called it the "chimney" because of its tall cylinder. In September 1948, the Honda Motor Co. was formally established.

The first production automobile from Honda was the T360 mini pick-up truck which was powered by a small 356 cc straight-4 gasoline engine. The first production car from Honda was the S500 sports car. In 1961, the bigger Volvo model engines called the 122-S series B-18 engine were built. In 1965 Honda built a race car equipped with a 12-cylinder engine.

In 1973, The Ford Motor Company formed an agreement with The Honda Motor Company to obtain technical data on a new engine that would decrease air pollution. They created the first engine to meet the guidelines of the 1970 US Clean Air Act.

In 1991, Honda reported selling 7000 CRX-HF cars where the Honda engine used computers and sensors to control valve action and the air-fuel. The purpose was to increase the amount of air in the mixture to 20 parts per 1 part gasoline.

In May 1999, Honda announced that it would supply its new Formula 1 engines to British American Racing. The most important highlight of the announcement was that Honda's engine engineers had developed an oil trap that fitted into the engine. Also in 1999, Hybrid Electric Honda launched the first commercial hybrid electric car that was sold in the US as the Honda Insight. The first-generation Insight was produced from 2000 to 2006. This was the most fuel-efficient mass-produced car at the time. In 2000, Honda began mass producing clean high-performance engines.

The Honda Civic GX is the only natural gas vehicle (NGV) available in certain US locations. In 2001, the Civic GX was rated the cleanest-burning internal combustion engine in the world by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency?.

In 2006, Honda announced it would build a $154-million engine plant near Alliston, Ontario, Canada. It would be the first engine plant in Canada. In late 2006, Honda's Brazilian subsidiary launched flexible-fuel versions for the Honda Civic and Honda Fit. These models run on a mixture of hydrous ethanol (E100) and E20-E25 gasoline.
Honda introduced the second-generation Insight in Japan in February 2009. It will be the cheapest hybrid available in the US.

Since 2002, Honda has been selling the Honda Civic Hybrid (2003 model) in the US. It was followed by the Honda Accord Hybrid, which was offered in 2005 to 2007 models. Honda is also planning to introduce a hybrid version of its Honda Fit, as well as another unique small hybrid vehicle based on the CR-Z sports car that was introduced at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.

Honda has a remarkable history of building solid engines. It will be interesting to see what the future of the Honda engine will bring.

Antarctic Trips - Travel Insurance Is Vital!

In November 2007 the MS Explorer, carrying over 150 tourists and crew hit an iceberg in the Antarctic and sank. Miraculously, no souls were lost or turned into human lollipops, but it was a terrifying ordeal and a lucky escape for those onboard. Perhaps it was a timely and sobering warning that this type of tourism should never be marketed like a Disney attraction. Let's hope it also served as a warning to those who think travel insurance is an unnecessary expense!

Trips to the Antarctic have become very popular in recent years with tourists heading south in their thousands. Have our fears about global warming and climate change caused this massive migration to the Poles to see the magnificent glaciers and landscapes before they disappear? Al Gore has to be commended for his efforts, but is he to blame? Or should we blame all the cute penguin films, like Happy Feet?

At one time it was a place only visited by explorers and scientists and not looked upon as a tourist destination, but times are changing. Conservation groups are concerned about the impact of so much tourism on the environment and calling for limits on the number of visitors.

Most trips to Antarctica are made on ships departing from locations in South America. The routes are designed to take in areas where the largest amount of wildlife can be viewed. There are faster ways to see Antarctica though. For an aerial view you could take a tourist flight departing from Australia or New Zealand. It's a round trip of about eight hours. Whichever way you do it you'll be leaving a carbon footprint with your happy feet and stinking up the pristine air! This new type of adventure tourism seems here to stay. Like a penguin slithering down an icy slope to the sea - it can't be stopped.

With the ice sheets melting at a frightening rate, sea levels look set to continue rising. Despite this, Antarctica holds the record for the world's lowest recorded temperature at -129°F (-89°C) during 1983. You wouldn't even be able to say 'Brrr'. It's hard to imagine. I experienced -28°F in Colorado and saw a cat frozen as stiff as a board. When you stood it up it looked alive with tail held aloft in a friendly but icy greeting. My friends stood it next to their mail box to greet visitors (sentimental they are not, those leathery ranchers). I've heard that freezing is the most painless way to die but I'd prefer not to test that theory personally - and it's too late to ask kitty.

In case you're unsure, Antarctica is located in the southern hemisphere, around the South Pole. The Arctic is north. (You'd be surprised how many people don't know). All but about two-percent of Antarctica is covered with ice. Many people mistakenly believe there are polar bears in Antarctica, but they are only found north in the Arctic regions.

Antarctica has dormant volcanoes and an active one at Mt. Erebus on Ross Island. The highest peak is Vinson Massif at over 16,000 feet (approx. 4,890m). We are familiar with the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) but in Antarctica the phenomenon is known as the Southern Lights, or Aurora Australis. Antarctica has no government and belongs to no country, although various claims have been made on parts of it. It still belongs to the penguins and I vote they continue to rule! At least when a penguin makes a fool of itself it's cute and funny - in contrast to most politicians.

Many brave explorers risked their lives in the hostile environment, icicles hanging from their grizzly beards. They had solid, masculine 'don't mess with me' names like Sir Ernest Shackleton, Robert Falcon Scott and Roald Amundsen.

Nothing much can survive in such an environment in the way of flora and fauna, other than penguins, fur seals, whales, hardy varieties of algae and lichen and some ugly-looking bugs. There are several species of birds, including Skuas, Petrels and Antarctic Terns, but only a few are passionate enough to breed in those icy temperatures.

Not surprisingly, there are no humans living permanently in the Antarctic, although since the 1700s sealers and whalers have spent time in the area. The research stations run by various governments and agencies are staffed during the summer months, and many year-round. A wide variety of scientific experiments are carried out but the most talked about in recent decades has been the hole in the ozone layer - which is believed to have been caused by us messy humans.

The hole is also being monitored by NASA satellites, or are they really looking for the alleged missing Apollo 11 original Moon walk tapes? Many meteorites and craters have been discovered so who knows what might be uncovered down there. Perhaps they'll find Amelia Earhart or the missing Child Benefit CDs which our government carelessly lost. Rumour has it the reason the government wants us to carry identity cards is as a back-up system for when they lose our personal data. At least we'll know who we are, even if they don't.

It's not surprising that we want to see Antarctica ourselves but perhaps we should be content with staying in the warm and watching documentaries or films like March of the Penguins. In the animated film Happy Feet, the penguin 'Mumble' was unable to sing to attract his true love because he had an awful voice and so resorted to tap dancing to woo her. I didn't see this particular film, but presume he got his girl in the end - fish breath and all. Whatever they have to do to survive, perhaps we should think more about their welfare and leave them alone. If the ice shelves keep collapsing there'll be nothing left for them to tap dance their happy feet on.

How to Get My Ex Back if He Wants More Space- 5 Simple Tips to Get Him Back

Almost everyone has had a wonderful relationship in their life, when quickly everything that seemed perfect was broken off because their boyfriend wanted more space. There are a lot of reasons why a boyfriend may want more space including insecurities, family problems, or fear of commitment.

So, here are some tips for answering the question, how to get my ex back if your boyfriend needs more space.

1. Make sure you don't lose your pride or allow him to get the best of you. You may want to play a little hard to get at first. It will show him that it is his loss and not yours.

2. If you're feeling like your ex boyfriend still likes you, then its a good idea that you start a conversation with him. Be sure to keep communication to a minimum in order to minimize drama. Brief phone calls, short text messages, and online conversations are great ways to remind him how much he wants you without overwhelming.

3. Eventually, he'll begin to show interest in you again if everything goes well. And this will give you the perfect chance to talk about the great memories you and him had. Be sure that you only focus on the good memories. While you're rekindling your relationship with your ex boyfriend, you shouldn't talk about the bad memories or bad experiences.

It could undo all of your hard work.

4. If your ex boyfriend doesn't seem to respond to what you are doing, you should take it for what it is. He's either not interested in you right now or he really needs space and you should give it to him. On the other hand, if he seems to be interested in you more than he was before or if he is slowly showing his interest in you, then you should continue to make advances to him to rekindle your relationship with him.

5. You can try to open your heart up to your ex boyfriend if he is giving you the right signals. Let him know what you are feeling. But make sure you don't sound desperate or needy. If your ex is showing you that he's thinking about getting back together with you, then it's good that you open up to him. But if his signals are showing you that he's not interested, it may be best if you step back and let things work them self out.

These are just the beginning steps to getting back with your ex. They're the initial steps that I took when I lost my ex. And to be honest with you, these aren't even my ideas. I turned to a guy named T 'Dub' Jackson when I needed help.

For example, you put a container, bowl on the platform and press the "tare" button. Your digital scale takes away the heaviness of the container so you are capable to fill up in the container with stuff that you desire to weigh. You be able to do again this just by pressing the tare button for fear that you require to position an additional stuff.

A digital scale is able to be bought even through the Internet. What Makes a Super Pocket Rocket Different From Regular Minibikes?

If you're not a pocket bike enthusiast, or if you have never bought a minibike, the term "super pocket rocket" may confuse you. For starters, the term "pocket rocket" doesn't apply to just any minibike - there are minibikes after all that aren't motorized, and are just good old-fashioned pedal cycles. These rockets generally refer to miniature motorized bikes - or mini motos, are they are sometimes known - which are built especially for racing and/or display.

And far from being redundant, a super pocket rocket is more than an ordinary mini moto. If you still aren't sure how a big pocket rocket would differ from a regular mini motorbike, here are some of the most common and most noticeable differences:

1. Engine size. This refers to more than just the physical size of the engine, although of course that figures, as well. As any good motorist knows, engine capacity determines engine size, and it is measured in ccs or horsepower.

The larger number of the cc on a bike, the more powerful it is, and the faster it goes. Some super mini motos could go as fast as 70 km per hour. There's really no way to mistake them for toy vehicles - these babies are built for racing!

Many super minibikes can go over 70cc, and even go as high up as 110 cc. Ordinary minibikes, even ones that were made at home, could be fitted with 50 cc engines or smaller.

2. Seat height. Super pocket motorbikes may have seats that go as high up as 28 inches or higher, when regular minibikes may have seats that go lower than 25 inches. Note that some manufacturers measure seat height by millimeters instead of inches.

3. Bike size. In order to accommodate a larger engine and a higher seat, super pocket mini motos should also be larger than their regular counterparts. Their dimensions may even approach those of full-sized motorcycles, but it should still be easy to distinguish them from larger bikes.

Size may be the main difference between a super pocket rocket and a regular minibike, but the make is also important. The former, for example, is made for racing, regardless of how it is used, and it should show in the design. A mini dirt bike may come larger than usual, but this should not be mistaken for a super minibike. Take note of the wheels - large, thick wheels are made for the trail, not for the track.

Home Business Ideas - Extreme Ways to Launch Your Home Business Profits

Sending the profits for your home business on a "rocket launch" is not easy to do, but if you follow these ten easy steps, you will soon be reaping in the profits. Remember that each one is individually important; together they are phenomenal.

The first thing you must do is find advertising venues that are eye-catching. Ads must command the readers' attention and hold it long enough to interest them. Advertising that is dull and boring will not sell anything. Colors, animations (if online) and an easy to find link or direction are mandatory.

If you have an internet presence, use banners, advertisements, and pop-up windows to get your visitors attention. The bigger the better. You want your ad to jump off of the page and reel the customer in.

Educate yourself about the internet, copy advertising, search engines, traffic exchanges, and other methods of advertising. No one knows everything. We all have something to learn. Try reading books, listening to cd's and dvd's, and participating in training sessions. Do whatever it takes to learn to do this job effectively.

Track and study your current advertising. See where your money has been well spent and where it is being wasted. Decide if the ad is what is not working or if the problem is the placement of the ad. An ad may be very good and very effective, but if it is ran in the wrong paper or placed on the wrong website, it is useless.

When a new customer calls or visits your website, get some information from them. Put them on your mailing list, ask them to register with your website, get them to allow you to send occasional e-mails with specials in them. The more the customer sees your business name, the better chance you have of getting new customers and repeat business.

If you have an internet presence and your banner ads are not working, use straight-up, old-fashioned text links. For some reason, some people will ignore the big, pretty ad and focus in on the underlined text. It is almost as if they feel the text link will have more credibility.

Click exchanges, traffic exchanges, and banner exchanges are all efficient and effective ways to get traffic to your site. You do this by agreeing to place someone else's banner on your site if they will agree to place your banner on theirs. This generally does not cost either party anything. The key is to get your banner or link on another website that is related to the topic of your website. That way you know that the people already on the other site are interested in the topic of your site.

If you are marketing a product, the worst thing you can do is run out. After you have been in business for awhile, you should be able to look at your sales numbers and figure out what the trends are for each product. Knowing when to stock more or less of any one product will mean the difference between keeping a customer and losing them to someone with more stock than you.

Don't overload your site with "junk". Customers should be able to navigate through it easily. The attention span of the average internet surfer is very short. Easy to find and read tips, links, articles, and buttons will maximize the usefulness and effectiveness of your website.

Try adding a discussion board or live chat to your web site. Make it interesting and be sure to advertise it and drive visitors to it. Customers that post to a discussion board will generally return to it to see if there are any responses. Combine these with a registration requirement, and you have an instant mailing list as well.

The above are a list of 10 extreme ways to rocket launch your home business profits. Follow them, all of them, and your profits will soar.

Contemplating a 7 Dimension Theory of Everything

Is Life just a string of random chemical reactions and biological accidents or could there possibly be a theory of everything?

Frank Wilczek who is considered one of the world's most eminent theoretical physicists has stated, "In recent months a different, much weaker notion of what a Theory of Everything might accomplish has gained ground, largely inspired by developments in string theory. In this concept, the Theory provides a unique set of equations, but those equations that have many solutions, which are realized in different parts of the Universe. One speaks instead of a multiverse, composed of many domains (dimensions), each forming a universe in itself, each with its own distinctive laws."

Although I believe that the Universe and/ or the Mind of God is too mysterious, complex and constantly full of surprises to be boiled down to a simple formula for mankind to know, I have humbly attempted - just for fun - to take a stab at a Seven Dimensional Theory of Everything. Considering that the basic fundamental building blocks of our Universe appear to be based on 7 Dimensions and that health and wellness can be facilitated and mental and emotional healing can be enhanced by using alternative energy therapies, I propose the following Seven Dimensions theory that has helped me to better organize the information in my world and to better manage my own life.

When did it all Begin?

In the 17th-century, an Anglican Bishop by the name of James Ussher deduced that the first day of creation began at nightfall Sunday October 27, 4004 BC. Refinements by others further pinpointed this to 9 a.m. London time, or midnight in the Garden of Eden.  Not everyone was excited by Bishop Ussher's proclamation that the universe had a beginning however, as most believed since Aristotle's time that the universe had always existed. The motivation for believing in an eternal universe was the desire to avoid invoking divine intervention.  Conversely, those who believed that the universe had a beginning, used it as an argument for the existence of God, as the first cause, or prime mover of the universe.  If one believed that the universe had a beginning, the obvious question was -  "What happened before the beginning?" (Stephen Hawkins, 2007).

The Big Bang Theory

Identifying the exact date and time of the origin of the universe sounds quite incredible to me, but the dominant scientific theory of the origin of the universe today is the "Big Bang" theory - which specifically indicates a point in time that the universe began.   According to the Big Bang theory, the universe was created approximately 13.7 billion years ago from the random, cosmic explosion (or expansion) of a subatomic ball that hurled space, time, matter and energy in all directions. Everything - the whole universe -- came from an initial speck of infinite density (also known as a "singularity"). This speck (existing outside of space and time) appeared from nowhere, for no reason, only to explode (start expanding) all of a sudden. Over a period of approximately 10 billion years, this newly created space, time, matter and energy evolved into remarkably-designed and fully-functional stars, galaxies and planets, including our earth.

In other words, everything that we see, hear, taste, touch, and smell today was created in a single micro-second by a fraction of an atom that instantaneously exploded the four known forces of nature - gravity, electromagnetism, and strong and weak nuclear forces. These forces evolved into space, time, matter and energy. This energy evolved into complex stars that eventually exploded their chemically rich guts - including the Seven most abundant chemicals in the universe: hydrogen, helium, oxygen, carbon, neon, iron and nitrogen - enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life into the galaxy - forming planetary systems (including planet earth) from the swirling elements.

To summarize then, the atoms that construct the molecules that make up our bodies - are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of the high mass stars. So we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically, and to the rest of the universe atomically. We are not just in the universe. We are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us.

The "Big Bang" is a scientific theory, and as such stands or falls by its agreement with observations. But as a theory which addresses the origins of reality, it has always been entangled with theological and philosophical implications. In the 1920s and '30s almost every major cosmologist preferred an eternal universe, and several complained that the beginning of time implied by the Big Bang imported religious concepts into physics; this objection was later repeated by supporters of the Steady State theory. This perception was enhanced by the fact that George Lemaitre, who put forth the Big Bang theory was a Roman Catholic priest. It is not my intention to get into a theological debate on the existence of God in this article, but to initially put forth some background information that seemingly supports a 7- Dimension theory of everything.

Background/ Historical Information

The following series of sevens may just be some coincidental information, but I find them to be very interesting and supportive of a 7 Dimensional theory of everything. Note: The items in each column relate to each other multi-dimensionally, but do not necessarily relate to each of the items in the rows.

A. Evolution: The Big Bang Theory appears to have seven distinct and interrelated phases, set by Science in the following order:
1. Cosmic Evolution. The development of space, time, matter and energy from nothing.
2. Stellar Evolution. The development of complex stars from the chaotic first elements.
3. Chemical Evolution. The development of all chemical elements from the original two (hydrogen & helium).
4. Planetary Evolution. The development of planetary systems from swirling elements.
5. Organic Evolution. The development of organic life from inorganic matter.
6. Macro-Evolution. The development of one kind of life from a totally different kind of life.
7. Micro-Evolution. The development of variations within the same kind of life.

B. Physics: The scientific inherent physical laws of the universe indicate that there are seven fundamental forces of nature, seven electromagnetic energies, and seven colors in the visible light spectrum - that when randomly mixed make up all colors, and when equally contained make up the white sun light.

Forces of Nature: 1. Applied Force, 2. Gravitational Force, 3. Normal Force, 4. Frictional Force, 5. Air Resistance Force, 6. Tension Force, 7. Spring Force

Electromagnetic Energies: 1. Gamma rays, 2. X-rays, 3. Ultraviolet (UV) rays, 4. Visible light rays, 5. Infrared radiation, 6. Micro-waves, 7. Radio waves.

Visible Light Spectrum: 1. Red, 2. Orange, 3. Yellow, 4. Green, 5. Blue, 6. Indigo, 7. Violet

C. International Measurement Units: The International System of Units (SI) defines Seven SI base units
for a set of physical quantities of measure, or dimensions, that are used to measure 7 basic physical
properties and that define all other SI units, known as SI derived units. The set of Seven SI basic units
consists of: 1. Metre - Length, 2. Kilogram - Mass, 3. Second - Time, 4. Ampere - Electrical Current,5. Kelvin - Temperature, 6. Mole - Quantity of Substance, 7. Candela - Luminous Intensity.

D. Electromagnetic Energies: Everything in the universe (including our bodies) are made of atoms that emit electromagnetic energy in the form of auras (colors) and that have string-like substances in them that are vibrating and emitting sound waves. Their are Seven auric bodies that surround our bodies, seven basic notes in music and seven musical vibrations that make up all music:

Auric Bodies: 1. Etheric, 2. Emotional, 3. Mental, 4. Astral, 5. Etheric Template, 6. Celestial, 7. Causal

Western Music Notes: 1. c, 2. d, 3. e, 4. f, 5. g, 6. a, 7. b

Vibrations: 1. Do, 2. Re, 3. Mi, 4. Fa, 5. Sol, 6. La, 7. Ti

E. Ancient Astronomy/ Astrology: Prior to the invention of the telescope, humans could see seven heavenly bodies (planets) with the naked eye that are traditionally called the Seven Classical Planets. They were named after the seven days of creation documented in the Judeo-Christian Bible which are our present seven day weekly schedule. The Zodiac signs are also aligned with the planets. There are Seven daughters of Atlas in the Pleiades, also called the "Seven Sister Stars."

Classical Planets: 1. Sun, 2. Moon, 3. Mars, 4. Mercury, 5. Jupiter, 6. Venus, 7. Saturn

Week-days: 1. Sunday, 2. Monday, 3. Tuesday, 4. Wednesday, 5. Thursday, 6. Friday, 7. Saturday

Creation Days: 1st Day - Light, 2nd Day - Sky & Water, 3rd Day - Land & Seas, 4th Day - Sun, Moon & Stars, 5th Day - Fish & Birds, 6th Day - Animals, Man & Woman, 7th Day - God Rested

Zodiac Signs: 1. Gemini/ Cancer, 2. Taurus/ Leo 3. Aries/ Virgo, 4. Pisces/ Libra, 5. Aquarius/ Scorpio, 6. Saggitarius, 7. Capricorn

F. Geology: Ancient peoples not only studied the earth, but they also studied their Solar System and they ascribed seven corresponding metals and gem stones to each of the seven naked-eye planets.  It's also interesting to note that our planet has seven continents, seven oceans and seven seas:

Elements: 1. Earth, 2. Water, 3. Fire, 4. Air, 5. Sound, 6. Light, 7. Thought

Metals: 1. Gold, 2. Silver, 3. Iron, 4. Mercury, 5. Tin, 6. Copper, 7. Lead

Gem Stones: 1. Ruby, 2. Pearl, 3. Yellow Topaz, 4. Emerald, 5. Sapphire, 6. Diamond, 7. Amethyst

Continents: 1. Asia, 2. Africa, 3. North America, 4. South America, 5. Antartica, 6. Europe, 7. Australia

Oceans: 1. North Pacific, 2. South Pacific, 3. North Atlantic, 4. South Atlantic, 5. Indian, 6. Southern, 7. Arctic

Seas: 1. Persian, 2. Black, 3. Caspian, 4. Red, 5. Mediterranean, 6. Adriatic, 7. Arabian

G. Sacred Geometry: Some advanced ancient civilizations taught that sacred geometry held the blueprint of creation or the genesis of all form. They believed that it explained the energy patterns that create and unify all things and that on every scale, every natural pattern of growth or movement conformed to one or more geometric shapes. For example, the Seven tangent circles of the "Flower of Life" pattern creates a hexagon shape that represents one of natures most stable forms seen in convection cells of water, the bees honey comb, and even on planet Saturn's north pole. Others believe that sacred geometric wisdom was responsible for the advanced technology of the ancient civilizations that designed the pyramids in Egypt, China, Machu Picchu, Nubia, Bosnia, and Mesoamerica. Some believe that this advanced technology was passed down from a super-human race of aliens/ angels (gods & goddesses) that intermarried with the beautiful women of the earth to produce off-spring that were giant-like gods (prior to the Great Food of Noah's time). These half-human, half-god-like creatures were worshipped as gods (for example: Greek mythical Gods), and that this practice evolved into the polytheistic religions such as Hinduism.

H. Ancient Religions: The Romans, Greeks, and Hindus named their Gods and Goddesses after the Seven Classical Planets and our present week days.

Roman Gods: 1. Sol, 2. Luna, 3. Mars, 4. Mercurius, 5. Jupiter, 6. Venus, 7. Saturnus

Greek Gods: 1. Helios, 2. Selene, 3. Ares, 4. Hermes, 5. Zeus, 6. Aphrodite, 7. Chronos

Hindu Gods: 1. Surya, 2. Chandra, 3. Mangal, 4. Budha, 5. Guru, 6. Sukra, 7. Shani

I. Ancient Knowledge: Paracelsus (born Phillp von Hohenheim, in Switzerland in1493) - was the Father of Alchemy (the universal science of the time that developed what were to be the disciplines of biology, medicine, chemistry, physics and astronomy as well as psychology and philosophy).  He believed that the universe's macrocosm was represented in every person as a microcosm. According to the insights at the time, there were Seven planets in the sky, and Seven Chakras in Man that were closely interrelated with the natural and social sciences. In the 5th Century AD, Martianus Capella academically defined the seven Liberal Arts as: grammar, dialectic, rhetoric, geometry, arithmetic, astronomy, and music.

Natural Sciences: 1. Astronomy, 2. Physics, 3. Chemistry, 4. Biology, 5. Geology, 6. Ecology, 7. Meteorology

Social Sciences: 1. Anthropology, 2. History, 3. Education, 4. Sociology, 5. Economics, 6. Psychology, 7. Linguistics

Liberal Arts: 1. Grammar, 2. Rhetoric, 3. Logic, 4. Geometry, 5. Arithmetic, 6. Music, 7. Astrology

Chakras: 1. Root, 2. Sexual, 3. Solar Plexus, 4. Heart, 5. Throat, 6. Forehead, 7. Crown

J. Eastern Spirituality: The word Chakra is Sanskirt (Hindu scriptures) for wheel and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the human body that correspond to nerve ganglia branching out from the spinal column, as well as states of consciousness, developmental stages of life, archetypal elements, body functions, colors, and much, much more. They were first written down between 1200 - 900 BC, but had been passed down orally for approximately 1000 years prior to that. During the last 2000 years countless alchemists' in India, China, Egypt, Europe, and those involved in eastern philosophies have used this holistic knowledge as a template for transformation. There are Seven worlds in the universe, seven seas in the world and seven gurus in Hindu mythology.

Energies: 1. Physical, 2. Sexual, 3. Ego, 4. Social, 5. Creative, 6. Mental, 7. Spiritual

Consciousness: 1. Self-preservation, 2. Self-gratification, 3. Self-definition, 4. Self-acceptance, 5. Self-expression, 6. Self-reflection, 7. Self-knowledge

K. Western Spirituality: Alchemists believed that life energy is closely related to the 'light of the seven planets.' They proclaimed that everything on earth emerges from the rays or energies of these planets. Like a prisma, the planets divide the divine 'light of creation' into seven qualities related to the seven chakras to promote inner maturity, the development of consciousness, and spiritual healing. The most famous alchemical illustration of chakras and their planetary influences was conceived by Johann Georg Gichtel (1638 0 1710). In his illustration Gichtel arranged the seven classical planets on the human body and assigned each of them to one of the seven vices or deadly sins, such as pride, stinginess and jealousy (below) to compare them with the Seven Virtues for spiritual transformation.

Sins: 1. Lust, 2. Gluttony, 3. Laziness, 4. Envy, 5. Greed, 6. Anger, 7. Pride

Virtues: 1. Purity, 2. Temperance, 3. Diligence, 4. Kindness, 5. Charity, 6. Patience, 7. Humility

L. World Religions: According to David Barrett et al, editors of the "World Christian Encyclopedia: A
comparative survey of churches and religions - AD 30 to 2200," there are 19 major world religions. In the year 2000, eight of these major religions had approximately 80% of the world's population adhering to their beliefs. Agnostics and atheists account for approximately 19% of the world's population and the rest of the world's religions including Judaism make up the last 1%.

Most of the worlds' religions do not fit neatly into little boxes, however, if we count the atheist and agnostic groups - they can be theoretically divided into Seven categories:

1. Atheist/ Agnostic groups
2. Non-theistic Religions - The belief or faith not in God or Gods, but in supreme enlightenment: (Example: Buddhism)
3. Pantheistic Religions - The belief that God and nature are one: (Example: Taoism, Animism, etc.)
4. Monotheistic Religions - The doctrine or belief that there is only one God:
(Example: Sikhism and the Abrahamic religions: Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc.)
5. Dualistic Religions - The belief that there are only two opposing Gods or two interacting forces: (Example: Zoroastrianism/ Taoism Yin/ Yang etc.)
6. Polytheistic Religions - The worship of or belief in many Gods or Goddesses: (Example: Hinduism, Shintoism, etc.)
Polyreligiousity - Having beliefs in multiple religion simultaneously (Example: Chinese Folk Religion/ New Asian Religions that combine Confucianism/ Buddhism/ Shintoism)

M. Monotheistic Religions: It's interesting to note that approximately 81% of the people on this earth
believe in a God or many Gods (minus the 19% that are agnostics and atheists), and that 66% believe in one God.

For thousands of years, the Holy Scriptures in the Judaic and Christian Bible and in the Islamic Koran have taught that there is One God. The Bible teaches that Melchizedek is the mysterious Eternal and Royal High Priest and King of Peace of all monotheistic religions - of which all subsequent religions evolved. All are called to be part of the Holy Nation and Royal Priesthood. The Apostle Paul devoted a whole chapter in the Bible to comparing Jesus to Melchizedek - repeating that Jesus was a High Priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. Some believe that Melchizedek was the appearance on earth of the pre-incarnate Christ in a temporary bodily form.

The book of Isaiah 11:2 specifically identifies the Seven Spirits of God: "The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him - the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD." This verse proclaims the seven spirits of God...(1) Spirit of the LORD, (2) Spirit of wisdom, (3) Spirit of understanding, (4) Spirit of counsel, (5) Spirit of power, (6) Spirit of knowledge, (7) Spirit of the fear of the Lord. The Bible teaches that their are Seven basic Gifts and Seven fruits of the Holy Spirit.  In the book of Romans we are called to be faithful to the gift given us.  Not everybody has the same gift, but God distributes the gifts among the body, that we may all have a part in building up the body.  In Romans 12:6-8, Paul lists the seven basic gifts.

In Islamic tradition, there are Seven Heavens, Seven fires in Hell, and Seven doors to hell. Below, I have listed the Seven Spirits of God, the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the Seven Fruits of the Holy Spirit with the Seven levels of Heaven according to the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic Holy Scriptures.

In the Judaism tradition, Seven is a highly spiritual number representing Godliness, and there are Seven days of passover, Seven days of purification, and the Seven branched candelabrum or Menorah.

N. Intelligences/ Vocational Interests: It's also interesting to see a connection between Howard Gardner's Seven Intelligences, the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and John Holland's vocational interest theory that teaches that most people are one of six personality types: realistic, enterprising, artistic, social, conventional, and investigative.

Intelligences: 1. Kinesthetic (Body-Smart), 2. Intra-personal (Self-Smart), 3. Visual/ Spatial (Picture-Smart), 4. Interpersonal (People-Smart), 5. Logical/ Math (Logic-Smart), 6. Verbal/ Linguistic (Word-Smart), 7. Musical (Music-Smart)

Vocational Types: 1. Realistic, 2. Enterprising, 3. Artistic, 4. Social, 5. Conventional, 6. Investigative, 7. (Ministry - Not identified by John Holland).

O. Technology: There are Seven tools of Quality, Seven logic gates, Seven layers in the Open System Interconnection Reference Model's (OSI) computer network design, Seven individual segments in the seven-segment electronic device display, and Seven classes of plastics.

Plastics: 1. PET, 2. PE-HD, 3. PVC, 4. PE-LD, 5. PP, 6. PS, 7. O

P. Philosophy: Based on the types of questions that it asked, Philosophy can be divided into Seven different groups. Below is a list of these groups with some related questions. Any possible list of answers to these and other questions within these categories can be called a 'philosophy'.

1. Ontology - What is reality?
2. Philosophy of mind/ religion - What is a mind / consciousness? Is there a God?
3. Epistemology - What is knowledge?
4. Ethics - What is right and wrong / What is good and bad?
5. Aesthetics - What is beauty?
6. Logic - What is truth?
7. Anxiology - What has value?

Q. Psychology: Many psychological approaches have been developed in an attempt to explain human behavior related to specific life-functioning dimensions, each emphasizing one aspect of personality or another.

Psychological Theories: 1. Behavioral, 2. Psychodynamic, 3. Social Learning, 4. Psycho-social, 5. Behavioral Economics, 6. Cognitive-behavioral, 7. Moral

Major Psychological Theorists: 1. B.F. Skinner, 2. Sigmund Freud, 3. Albert Bandura, 4. Eric Erikson, 5. Daniel Kahneman, 6. Aaron, Beck, 7. Lawrence Kohlberg

Psychological Needs: 1. Safety, 2. Enjoyment, 3. Power, 4. Love, 5. Expression, 6. Self-actualization, 7. Wholeness

R. Medicine:Modern science has established that the human bodies' systems (e.g., nervous, endocrine, immune, etc.), must all contribute to a homeostatic system.  The bodies systems work together to maintain a balanced environment or equilibrium. When we are are feeling sick, our life energy cannot flow in and out freely and the physical body may suffer from stress.  An unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, substance abuse, isolation from family and friends and disconnection from our higher power may all contribute to decreasing our energy levels and further contributing to our unhealthy conditions. A multi-dimensional system can be correlated with Seven levels of health, Seven Abnormalities, Seven Glands and the bodies organ systems.

Health: 1. Physical, 2. Self-regulation, 3. Occupational, 4. Social, 5. Financial, 6. Mental, 7. Spiritual

Abnormalities: 1. Physical Suffering, 2. Irrationality/ Unpredictability, 3. Maladaptiveness, 4. Socially disconnected, 5. Societal Violations, 6. Emotional deviancy, 7. Spiritually disconnected

Glands: 1. Adrenal, 2. Gonads, 3. Pancreas, 4. Thymus, 5. Thyroid, 6. Pituitary, 7. Pineal

Organ Systems: 1. Skeletal/ Skin, 2. Reproductive, 3. Gastrointestinal, 4. Cardiovascular, 5. Respiratory, 6. Nervous/ Endocrine, 7. Immune/ Lymph

Senses: 1. Smell, 2. Taste, 3. Vision, 4. Touch, 5. Hearing, 6. Individual Consciousness, 7. Universal Consciousness

S. The Nobel Prize-winning biologist David Baltimore devised the Baltimore classification system comprised of Seven groups of viruses: 1. dsDNA viruses (e.g. Adenoviruses, Herpesviruses, Poxviruses), 2. ssDNA viruses (e.g. (+)sense DNA (e.g. Parvoviruses), 3. dsRNA viruses (e.g. Reoviruses), 4. (+)ssRNA viruses (+)sense RNA (e.g. Picornaviruses, Togaviruses), 5. (-)ssRNA viruses (-)sense RNA (e.g. Orthmyxoviruses, Rhabdoviruses), 6. ssRNA-RT viruses (+)sense RNA with DNA intermediate in life-cycle (e.g. Retroviruses), 7. dsDNA-RT viruses (e.g. Hepadnaviruses)

T. Biology: Biologists teach us that there are Seven life processes for all living things. The 7 life processes are: 1. Movement (Moving), 2. Reproduction, 3. Sensitivity (Touching and Tasting), 4. Nutrition (Food), 5. Excretion (Going to the toilet), 6. Respiration (sweating), 7. Growth (Growing).

U. Chemistry: The periodic table of the chemical elements is a tabular method of displaying the chemical elements. There are Seven periods, or horizontal rows of elements, in the periodic table.

V. Genetics: This may be trivial, but it was not the lethal - 5 or 6 micro RNA gene family discovery that
launched the RNA revolution that changed the face of modern biology, but the let - 7 gene family. It is now known that RNA control the chemistry of life, regulate cellular and genetic processes throughout the human body, and are critical factors in the determination of health, disease and longevity.

W. Public Health Model: There are Seven Dimensions to the Public Health Model: 1. Universal, 2. Selective, 3. Indicated, 4. Case Identification, 5. Standard Treatment for Known Disorders, 6. Compliance with Long-term Treatment (Goal: Reduction in Relapse and Recurrence), 7. Aftercare (including Rehabilitation)

X. 7 - Dimension Model: In 2005, the "Addictions Recovery Measurement System (ARMS)," was published - describing the following seven life-functioning therapeutic activity dimensions for progress outcome measurements.  Each of the seven dimensions is interrelated with the public health models' focus on the individual within the psychosocial environment. The above series of sevens are also interrelated with the following Seven Energies, Abraham Maslow's famous Hierarchical Pyramid of Needs, and our Seven senses (and you were taught that we only had five). We need to consider that some individuals are more in touch with their extra-sensory perceptions.

Life-functioning Dimensions: 1. Medical/ Physical, 2. Self-regulation/ Impulse-control, 3. Educational/ Occupational, 4. Social/ Cultural, 5. Financial/ Legal, 6. Mental/ Emotional, 7. Spiritual/ Religious

Y. 7 - Dimension Intervention: This 7 - Dimensional health and wellness outcome measure was further
developed into an assessment and treatment process for stress management incorporating the following three screening instruments:

Guidelines for implementing a 7 Dimension Intervention

1. Start the interview with the "Open question" technique to elicit as much detailed information as possible from the client, prior to administering any questionnaires or checklists (Utilize reflective listening skills, etc.).
2. Administer the ACE questions and calculate the ACE score.
3. Administer the 7D - PSI and calculate scores.
4. Administer the 7D - TAS and calculate scores and plot all scores on the Wheel of Life to visualize the diathesis levels, current psycho-social stressor levels, and the current efforts to decrease stress and build resiliency.
5. Administer the "Stages of Change" question: On a scale of 1 to 10 - with 10 representing the highest motivation for change that you have at this time, how motivated are you?

Pre-contemplation Stage = 1 - 3
Contemplation Stage = 4 - 5
Preparation Stage = 6 - 7
Action Stage = 8 - 9
Maintenance Stage = 10

6. Provide a "Motivational Interviewing" session with your client discussing the "Stages of Change." The brevity of this article does not allow for an overview of this session (Tomlin, K. & Richardson, H., 2004)

7. Develop a holistic multidimensional health and wellness plan and a comprehensive individualized treatment plan if necessary along with a case management and treatment monitoring system.

Z. Alternative Medicine/ Energy Therapies: Considering that our bodies have over 70 trillion cells with electrical properties, much like that of a battery, and that they totally regenerate approximately every Seven years, we must be proactive in developing and sustaining a proactive individual health and wellness plan. It's also interesting to note that different cultures/ countries have different names for the same energy or Life Force.

LifeForces: 1. Africa (Ashe), 2. Hawaiian (Mana), 3. India (Prana, 4. Greece (Pneuma, 5. China (Chi), 6. Japan (Ki), 7. Christianity (Holy Spirit)

In view of the above, the following 7 - Dimension Energy Therapies and therapeutic activities are recommended to maintain the Seven energy levels.

Energy Therapies: 1. Chiropractor/ Osteopath/ Herbal Medicine, 2. Therapeutic Massage/ Reflexology, 3. Art Therapies, 4. Dance Therapies, 5. Music/ Singing Therapies, 6. Acupuncture/ Electric Medicine (Alpha-Stim), 7. Light Therapies/ Meditation/ Prayer

Summary

It's interesting to note that from the farthest reaches of the cosmos to the atomic structure of a single cell within the body, the same dimensions of form and mathematics apply. The secret to life is in these forms and numbers. So by studying anything in life, we can learn the basis of all life everywhere. Modern scientists are reaffirming the ancient wisdom observed in their world and taught in their myths: that a consistent multidimensional design underpins every level of the universe, from atoms to the galaxies.

7 Dimension Theory of Everything: Considering that the basic fundamental building blocks of our Universe are based on 7 Dimensions and that health and wellness can be facilitated and mental and emotional healing can be enhanced by using alternative energy therapies, I propose the following to better organize the information in my world and to better manage my own life:

1. Everything has a beginning and an end that transforms everything into a new beginning.
2. Everything from the microcosm to the macrocosm is made of 7 dimensions of energy.
3. Everything is connected to everything multi-dimensionally.
4. Everything is communicating positive and negative messages with everything multi-dimensionally.
5. Everything is maintained by a holistic, dynamically balanced system with a multidimensional semi-stable equilibrium force field of driving and restraining forces.
6. Everything disrupts everything when the system is disrupted by an unbalanced system.
Everything is in the process of restoring balance to everything.

I also believe in synergy or the combined effects produced by two or more parts, elements or individuals that is a ubiquitous phenomenon in nature and human societies alike.

The 7 - Dimensional Law of Synergism

Whenever two or more dimensions are focused on simultaneously for a significant period of time and
infinitesimally small, but positive incremental changes are made there is a positive synergistic effect
(depending on the intensity of dark and/ or light energy manifested), that spiritually elevates and connects an individual's multiple life functioning dimensions by reducing chaos and increasing resilience to bring an individual harmony, wellness, and productivity.

One last note:  I previously mentioned that it was not my intention to get into a theological debate on the existence of God in this article, but to initially put forth some background information that seemingly supports a 7- Dimension theory of everything. In light of the above, one must consider the possibility that the origin of the Universe could just be a random case of "Lucky Sevens." If this is the case, then it would take more faith to believe in a God-less Big Bang - then it would to believe in divine intelligence.

Flying Dragons of the Sky

DURING hot, midsummer days, the air above fields and ponds becomes the stage for some of the most amazing fliers in insectdom—the dragonflies.

With their two pairs of long wings glistening in the sun, you can see dragonflies flashing back and forth, looping, turning and diving at will. One moment they will be zooming at express-train speed high in the sky, then, the next, swooping down to skim the surface of a pond. These marvels of creation can even fly backward or hover in midair like a helicopter.

But the sun-loving dragonflies do not fly simply for the enjoyment of it. These aerial dynamos ply their skills to feed an insatiable appetite. In fact, Mr. Dragonfly can eat his own weight in half an hour and still be hungry.

When hunting a meal to appease their appetite, dragonflies exhibit distinctive habits. Some species search over large areas. Others have set paths that they follow generation after generation. Larger dragonflies stake out territories for themselves and drive off other dragonflies by wildly clattering their wings. Sometimes if an invading dragonfly is bold and is not intimidated by the clattering, it will be met head to head. Hovering together menacingly, these two will stay in that position while rising straight up into the sky.

Whether they take to roaming or settling in one spot, dragonflies stay alert for their favorite diet: mosquitoes and gnats. They also find tasty meals in moths and horseflies. Because of their long, slender, needle-shaped body, many persons have believed that dragonflies sting, but this they do not do. They are not only harmless to man but also very beneficial because of their devouring mammoth quantities of flies and mosquitoes.

When a dragonfly zeros in on these insects, they are completely outmatched. Equipped with six spine-fringed legs that are bunched together like a basket, dragonflies scoop prey out of the air and suck their bodies dry while racing after another victim. So swiftly do they gobble up prey that dragonflies have been known to eat forty horseflies in two hours. One dragonfly was found with its mouth gorged with one hundred mosquitoes! No wonder these voracious insects have earned the name “flying dragons.”

Mating, and Life Underwater

But there is a time when dragonflies pay less attention to eating and more to their airmanship. This is during the mating season. Rival males, seeking the attentions of a female, take to the air to do battle. Their aerial duels feature some of the most brilliant air maneuvers of any living creature. Some species are more moderate, though, and perform a sort of courtship dance.

Once they have found a mate, the males literally carry off the female. To mate, dragonflies fly in tandem, that is, the male holding the female by the back of the head while flying through the air. As the female is to mate, she extends the tip of her abdomen to the male’s second thoracic segment and receives a sperm capsule.

After her eggs are fertilized, the female deposits them on a pond’s surface or in aquatic weeds. Exactly how many eggs a dragonfly lays is open to question; but there have been found as many as 110,000 eggs in a single cluster.

The eggs lie in the water or weeds a few days. Then the offspring begin to emerge. And strange creatures they are. Other than being born with hefty appetites, these creatures, called nymphs, resemble the parents very little. They have gills in the thin walls of their intestines. These gills not only absorb oxygen, but, in times of trouble, give the nymph quick getaway power. When alarmed, the nymph just lifts its legs off the bottom of the pond, expels a jet of water through the gills, and rockets forward several inches.

Perhaps the most unusual feature of the nymph is its manner of catching food. Unlike its fleet parents, the nymph is sluggish. So it waits for a mosquito larva or minnow to swim close by. Then, suddenly, it shoots out an underlip hidden beneath the head. Sharp claws at the tip of the underlip grasp the unwary prey and pull it to the nymph’s mouth. This underlip, which is hinged and elongated, operates similarly to the human arm. The middle hinge is like the elbow, allowing the underlip to swing back and forth easily.

When the underlip is not in use and is folded back under the body, an unusual thing happens. The claws cover the nymph’s face like a bandit’s mask. An appropriate costume for these tiny submarine creatures!

Life in the Sky

Many nymphs among the nearly 5,000 species of dragonflies complete their underwater life in one year. Others, however, may take from two to five years. During this time they pass ten to fifteen successive stages of molting. Many changes take place: the number of six-sided lenses in the compound eyes increase; the antennae gain new joints; the legs lose their hairiness; the wing pads appear on the thorax. But these changes are merely a prelude to their transformation as adult dragonflies.

The nymph’s final step to being a creature of the air usually begins at night. It climbs out of the water and clings to the bank or to a stem. Twelve hooks, two on each foot, secure its hold. Here it remains motionless for some time as the body completes the metamorphosis.

Finally a rent appears on the back side of the thorax and the disheveled dragonfly struggles out of the nymphal shell. At first its four wings are damp and folded back like a fan, but steadily they are pushed open by blood swelling the vast network of veins running through the transparent tissues.

Also the colors of the newly emerged dragonfly are faint. But they intensify until the dragonfly rivals even the butterfly and moth in beauty. Its colors range the spectrum of the rainbow—brown, lavender, ultramarine, green, azure blue, scarlet, crimson, lilac, cerulean blue, red and ivory white.

The dragonfly will wait about five hours after leaving its armor-like shell to allow its wings and body to harden. Once the wings are able to carry it in flight, the dragonfly darts into the air. Never again will it use its legs to walk. It has become a creature of the air.

Powerful Flier

The largest dragonfly today is a tropical species having a wingspan of seven and a half inches. It ranks as one of insectdom’s best and strongest fliers. In fact, this most accomplished insect aviator has been known to fly fifty to sixty miles an hour!

The power for the wings is supplied by motor muscles that comprise one quarter of the dragonfly’s entire weight. These muscles, vibrating the wings 1,600 times a minute, enable dragonflies to cover huge distances. Such powerful fliers are they that ship passengers have observed them winging their way over the ocean 175 miles off the coast of Africa. One species settled on an island that lay 200 miles across open sea!

They fly the greatest distances when drought or food shortage drives them into migrating. These migrations sometimes attain fantastic proportions. In 1839 millions of them blanketed the skies as they followed rivers and streams over most of Europe. In the United States, swarms of them migrated to the South in 1881, literally darkening the skies.

But these great fliers must be ever watchful. They are in constant danger from birds, frogs and fish. Against such predators dragonflies have speed and keen sight. Their bulging eyes, which cover the better part of the head, can scan far into the distance. The Creator designed them in such a way that each eye contains as many lenses as the eyes of 15,000 men! They can also see in virtually every direction at the same time. And they are farsighted, allowing them to spot a mosquito thirty feet away.

With such vision dragonflies can dodge almost any pursuer, including man. Trying to catch these dexterous fliers can be quite a task. But Japanese children have discarded the net in favor of ingenuity. They attach tiny pebbles to the ends of long hairs and throw them into the air where dragonflies are circling. When one of the insects pounces upon the passing stone, the hair twists about its body and the weight of the pebble grounds it.

Even though these zestful creatures are able to elude most enemies, those in the temperate zone eventually get caught by the chilling winds of autumn. Life for the dragonfly is short, lasting only the warm months of spring and summer. In the fall you will find them clinging motionless to stems or leaves, numb from the cold. Flying is done only during the warmest part of the day. The first frost brings down the curtain for them, leaving the air above the fields and streams devoid of their fascinating presence.

But the chain of life does not stop. Nymphs, protected beneath the ponds and streams, continue to mature. With the hot weather, they will emerge to become a new generation of the dragons of the sky.

Diy Rapid Prototype Techniques

Several DIY Rapid Prototyping techniques have come up off late. Making a 3D printer at home can prove to be quite cost-effective. The other names for such sort of prototyping are fabbing, three-dimensional printing, reprapping, and fabrication. RepRap is one such 3D printer. Let its making be studied in detail.

RepRap: RepRap is the abbreviation for Replicating Rapid-prototype. In other words, it can be said to be a Practical Self-copying Printer. RepRap would make metal, ceramic, and plastic parts. It’s itself made up of plastic. This is done in order to facilitate the making of multiple copies of its own self. The final product can be described as a 3-axis robot moving numerous material extruders. Fine filaments are produced by these extruders. The filaments are made up of their own working materials. This process has a paste-like consistency.

If one intends making plastic cones, RepRap would make use of the plastic extruder for laying down a 0.5 mm quickly hardening filament made from molten plastic for drawing the filled-in disc. The Plastic Intrusion Head would then be raised and the layer following that would be drawn, exactly on the top of 1st. This process keeps on repeating till the complete cone is formed. If making an Inverted Cone is on the agenda, the same procedure is followed. The only difference would be laying down the support material beneath the parts that are overhanging. The removal of support would take place after the completion of cone. Intermixture of conductors with plastic is allowed. This can help in the formation of circuits.

The process described above is known as Fused Deposition Modeling. These machines, though useful, are not very much prevalent. The software of the above process is believed to work on all the computer platforms, that too, free of cost.

Fabr: The Fabr makes use of parts which are commonly available. The other advantages include requirement of minimal fabrication of parts, high accuracy and availability of enough power for not only plastic, but also wood or metal.

The key components of Fabr include 80X20 extruded aluminium, fasteners and bars, drive and anti-backlash nuts, couplers, bearings, aluminium bars, screws, pulleys, timing belts, and ‘A Custom Stepper Motor Controller Board’. The learners are advised to use an Allegro 3967 Micro stepping Stepper Motor Controller. The board contains three drivers, and connectors to have end stops.

DIY 3D printer made from pure sugar: The objectives behind making the above-stated DIY 3D printer are cost-effective design using recycled components, huge printable volume emphasizing over better resolution, and ability of using low-cost print media inclusive of granulated sugar. The process of printing starts with the bed of granular print media which has low melting point. The printing media is fused selectively with a directed, narrow, low-velocity beam. This beam consists of hot air. The bed is then lowered by a diminutive amount. The bed’s top portion is then bombarded with a flat thin layer (of media). By this process, a 2D object is formed. If this process is repeated, 3D object is formed.
